Route of the Mountain

T he "Ruta da Montaña" – Route of the Mountain – in the Municipality of O Pino runs through the parishes of Lardeiros and Pastor, where the heritage resources and beautiful natural landscapes stand out. The route starts in the recreational area and goes through the villages of Lardeiros de Medín, Portouteiro, Os Currás, O Petón, A Barcia, Tambre, Lardeiros, Vimieiro, Domés and Ponte do Seixo, until we reach again the starting point, in the recreational area of Pontedapedra. This circular path is around eighteen kilometres long. Because of the terrain features – with several slopes – and its length, this route can be considered of medium-low difficulty. The starting point of this path is located in the recreational area of Pontedapedra (42º58’22 N, 8º17’21 O). The estimated time to walk this route is between four and a half hours and five hours. The time varies according to the skills of the hiker.
